Prayer Diary
Back to New Years Celebrations
The New Yearis the perfect time to start a new diary - why not a prayer diary.
- Give the children an exercise book - cheap in the back to school sales.
- Cover the outside with paper and get the children to decorate their book.
- Write a title (My prayer diary) or something similar on the outside.
- Model to the children how to use it. That will depend on the age.
- For younger children fold the page in half lengthways and draw a line down the middle. Draw a prayer on the left and when the prayer is answered draw the answer on the right.
- For older children write the request, maybe a date and then have room for how God answered the prayer and a date.
Limiting our conversation to God to just what we ask for and he responds to is a sad loss. It might be all your children can handle, or if you are giving them training you might also like to teach them to write other things they think God is saying that they've learned through the Bible, at church etc.
