Praise wall Activity

Once you have done this once, keep all the pictures and add in some of your own so you have a stash for when you do this again.

Resources:

• magazines
• scissors
• bluetac
• bare wall to stick it on (check whether paint will peal off. May a whiteboard would be better)

The Bible says that we should praise God and thank him for all the things he has done for us and given us. Look through the magazines and find 2 pictures that remind you of things you are thankful for and praise God for (maybe a smiling lady reminds you of mum, or a wrapped gift reminds you of the gifts God gives you). Cut the pictures out and stick them onto the wall with bluetac. When everyone has finished get each child to point to their pictures and say why they chose them. Now we can see that we have lots to praise and thank God for.

This could also be used to get children to wrap up their week. Choose one good thing and one bad thing about their week. Have a prayer time afterwards and make sure you not only pray for the bad stuff but thank God for the good stuff too.
