Inside Out - How God Sees You

Ok, you are going to say I'm really weird, but trust me, when you're standing in front of 30 kids and have absolutely nothing to do and very limited resources, I can guarantee you will have the resources for this one (so long as you're not afraid to be a little crazy!)

Turn your top/jumper/socks (not as effective, but works all the same) - any item of clothing you have - inside out and put it on. The more noticeable it is, the more embarrassed you might be in church, but the more you will have your kids attention!

"The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7

What can you see on the outside of a person? Their hair colour? Their height? Their clothes? Their cleanliness (or lack thereof)? Their weight? Their actions? Are these things important? Apparently - we seem to make judgements every day about people based on these very things. Yet the Bible says that these things are not what's important, what inside the heart is important. That's what God looks at.

Turning your clothes inside is a bit of a gimmic - kind of what God sees. He doesn't care about the clothing, he sees straight through it, through what we normally are able to see to what is really inside us.
